Trestle Board

The year has started out with a lot of things happening. The three principal officers attended Grand Lodge and there was record attendance with only 32 Lodges absent.

I am excited to see how the Brothers of Liberty Lodge are really working together as a cohesive unit and we have already done two EA degrees and have a FC degree coming
up the first meeting in March.

I am proud of our Senior Warden Todd Sumpter and Junior Warden Ed McLaughlin as they are taking a very active role in putting together degree teams and I should also mention our Senior Deacon Jerry Byassee and our Tiler Patrick Leete are also very involved in the Degree work. John Moreno our Chaplain and Director of the Work has been a great help leading practices so we can put the best degrees possible.

March also holds another great activity with a presentation of the Matt Lauer interview with Dan Brown author of the Lost Symbol and we will have some special guests at this presentation so mark your calendars for the last stated communication of March.

I will close with a statement about Free Masonry made by General Douglas MacArthur: “Freemasonry embraces the highest moral laws and will bear the test of any system of ethics or philosophy ever promulgated for the uplift of man."

Congratulations to WB Bob Applegate for being elected president of the Highland's Temple Board. Also, to Brother Ed Mclaughlin for being elected vice president.
